Interesting All Natural Hair Loss Remedies: Yogurt, Oil, Coconut & Honey

Are you having problems with hair loss? It is that time of the year when the weather turns nippy and the stress levels are at an all-time high. It’s the holidays and it doesn’t help that we worry about not looking our best or getting everything done on time. Working women have it worst in the sense that it’s the end of the year and reports are due aside from the regular work load, shopping, and cooking up a storm. No wonder women experience hair loss!

There are old wives tales about using coconut oil and henna leaves to prevent hair loss, and for some reason many refuse to give it any credence. Coconut is known as the food of life. Everything about it can be used: the coconut water cleanses the body and the coconut meat is food and used to make dessert. Coconut husk can be used to clean floors or use to make a loofah. It can also be used to make oil; it becomes your hair and scalp conditioner.

Henna leaves are used by mixing with the oil to make a natural formula to fight hair loss.  If there is no coconut oil available, substitute oils would be olive oil or mustard oil. As the oil conditions the hair and scalp, the henna can be a natural hair dye so you don’t have to use those commercially produced hair color with chemicals and ammonia. Take note that it is better to use fresh henna instead of commercial henna products.

Yogurt is also an amazing natural solution to hair loss. Do use the plain variety instead of fancy flavored yogurt. All you have to do is rub the yogurt and massage it into your hair. You can leave it on for 30 minutes or even overnight if you’re feeling okay sleeping with yogurt on your hair. You will have to use a shower cap to keep the yogurt off your bed sheets. After you rinse, you’ll notice your hair has become softer and more manageable. Furthermore, there will be a marked improvement on your hair loss problem. If this method is not appealing, try the traditional method of using yogurt which is to eat it as a smoothie drink or breakfast food.

Other solutions which will not cost much to try is honey mixed with some oil and cinnamon powder or alma powder with one egg yolk.  You should get a hair trim every 3 months and have a head and scalp massage to improve circulation.
